Learning agenda for local governments

On 29-30 September the UCLG World Secretariat organised a collaborative working meeting with the aim of building a learning agenda for local and regional governments. With this initiative, the World Organisation aims to initiate training activities based on strategic values for its members, exchange ideas on specific activities and present successful experiences from equivalent organisations in different parts of the world.

Participants at this workshop were representatives of UCLG member organisations with broad experience of knowledge exchange and institution building, including the Dutch Association of Municipalities’ (VNG) International Cooperation Agency, the South African Local Governments Association (SALGA), the Brazilian National Confederation of Municipalities (CNM), the National Front of Mayors (FNP), the Durban Municipal Institute of Learning (MILE) and Barcelona Provincial Council, among others.
